Everyone has different traditions during the holidays. Some hang decorations, others celebrate “the season’s eatings” with special holiday recipes. Mother and son preparing Thanksgiving dinner This Thanksgiving there’s a lot to be thankful for. Here at HIC, we’re thankful for ice cream (I mean, who isn’t?), our dedicated employees, a fun place to work, and the opportunity to make people smile.

Mootilda is thankful for a fresh perspective, the grass might not be greener on the other side, but it might have ice cream!

A lot has happened so far this year. It’s nice to take some time and remember the positive things. It’s the little things that make a difference, like spending time with family. It may seem strange that they’re playing Christmas music already (to quote Charlie Brown
“we haven’t even eaten all of our Halloween candy yet!”) but Perry Como said it best…
“There’s no place like home for the holidays!”

Where are you headed for Thanksgiving, and who will you be with? We hope wherever it is, that you will find happiness with the loved ones around you, eat lots of delicious food (including pie á la mode), and that you create wonderful memories!

scoops of ice cream People are creatures of habit. Once they’re comfortable with something, they stick to it. If they try something new, they usually end up going back to what they know they like. So how much does that apply to ice cream flavors?

Let’s say you’re a fan of vanilla. When faced with having to choose between over 100 different flavors how often do you fall back on that flavor? Now don’t get me wrong, vanilla is a wonderful flavor (and definitely one of our most popular!). But variety is the spice of life. Large selections can be confusing so why not try your favorite flavor with a twist? Hershey’s® uses great tasting inclusions (like peanut butter cups, maraschino cherries, fresh roasted nuts, and more) to spice up basic flavors.

So next time you’re buying ice cream why not try a scoop of something different – like our White House Cherry, Deep Dish Apple? You might be surprised how much you like other flavors… And hey, if you don’t, don’t worry. Your favorite flavor will always be waiting.
