Twas The Night At HIC

Twas the night before Christmas
But the merriment had ceased.
For everyone had some pie
But it wasn’t a feast.

They wondered what was missing
For dry it did seem.
Then they put it together,
It was the Hershey’s® Ice Cream!

How could they’ve forgotten
The most crucial part?
For now the meal is incomplete!
They should have known from the start!

They dashed to the store
To find what they could,
But all stores were closed,
As on Christmas they should.

So they went to a parlor,
To get some hand-packed.
But all flavors were gone!
For the store was ransacked.

Then in an act of desperation,
They came to the HIC Plant.
Knocking for an answer,
For waiting longer they can’t.

Then to their surprise,
The door made a creak!
For a someone was there,
So inside they did sneak.

When they came through the doors,
Their eyes saw such beauty.
For ice cream was abundant,
And many flavors were fruity!

They grabbed what they could,
Like a Pint and Stick Bar,
They were overwhelmed by the selection!
So glad they traveled far.

They grabbed what they could,
But left what they owed,
When they heard a voice from behind,
For then they were slowed.

“Leave nothing behind
And take what you need!
For it’s the Christmas Season,
There’s no room for greed.”

They turned towards the voice,
But no one was there,
For he vanished in time,
As if he came from thin air.

They arrived back home,
From their journey away,
Full of delicious treats,
To add to the buffet.

Now the meal was complete,
And the spoons they did lick.
They then gave great thanks,
To the Ice Cream St. Nick.

Ice Cream Decorations

There’s baking, singing, family gatherings, all contributions to the holiday season! One of the favorites is decorating! Just to give you some ideas, here is one crafty ornament you can make with your family!

1) Use a cake cone (size optional) as your base.
2) Dip the cone in clear melted wax. Let it cool.
3) Choose a Christmas ball ornament the same color of your favorite Hershey’s® Ice Cream flavor.
4) Use your choice of glue and line the inside of the cone.
5) Carefully press the ornament ball onto the cone. (You can choose what orientation to place it)
6) Let it fully dry and hang it on your tree!
