The Great Depression saw the birth of a new era.
Hershey’s® Ice Cream became the first to manufacture
prepackaged pints of ice cream. Those “carry-out” pints
and half gallons started a whole new tradition in the lives
of all Americans: ice cream at home! |
| |
After World War II, America began to run on convenience.
This is where Hershey’s® Ice Cream began to develop
“on-the-run” desserts such as the Popsicle, Ice Cream
Sandwiches, and other popular novelty items that we
still love today! |
| |
Hershey’s® now has freezers instead of ice and salt, and
trucks instead of a horse and wagon, but the service and dedication has never changed. Hershey’s® currently
serves over 26,000 locations and values each dealer as
an important part of our growing history and promising future. |
